Nearly a month now and not too much progress.
Had a re-visit to the clinic on Friday to have my band pumped up to 4.5mls from 3.0mls.
I feel I will need some more before I reach a level I am happy with.
The clinic staff are a friendly enough bunch but they have a reguler visiting camera crew that are filming something for The Discovery channel to be shown next year.
These people really are not my thing ,turning the whole experience into a zoo for "fat" people. I had a great consultation and then afterwards was asked to wait out in the reception area to test my new restriction by having a drink of water or tea.
On entering the reception I was over-whelmed by the tv crew supplying complimentry drinks and eats for all patients (how ironic the very thing we are trying to restrict, but for the some, the temptation is too great) ,a ruse just so they can talk to people.
Well, I turned right and just kept on going through the hospital and back to my car.
I didn't have a drink or eat as I just felt intimidated by it all. If you know me that doesn't come easily but sometimes you just want to deal with things without the intrusion ,an option I was ,disappointingly, not given.
I felt a little let down by it all and would have preferred to return ,on reflection and had more liquid injected into my band.
Yesterday (Saturday) went well and I am starting to feel full again after meals. I have been eating very sensibly these past weeks and my diabetes appears to be under control. (No doubt my doctor will have something to say about that)
Unfortunately, this feeling subsided last time after just over a week so will be looking to return within a month for more injection of fluid.
I haven't been eating enough apparently, (never been told that before, lucky I was sitting down at the time..lol) and need to up my intake to feel fuller.
The diet I have been trying to stick to was only meant for the first few weeks after the fitting of the band ...now they tell me.
I have been filling up on cereal in the evenings but that was "poo-pooed " by the consultant who said to fill up at meal times and I would see the benefits.
So that is what I am doing and so far..... feels ok, just going to have to wait and see how that affects the weightloss.
Feeling well in myself and have started a exercise regime and although initially the aches and pains were there am feeling the benefits in my day to day living.
On a closing note...my works have invited all of our project team out on a "company paid for" curry and beer night. I have declined their generous offer. Typical! 3 months ago I could have caned their "night on the company" like no-one before. Unlimited curry and beer was my idea of heaven... these days however half an onion bhajee and a J2O is not my idea of a night out whilst watching others eat!!!!

Chazband tightening... sounds like an Indian WWE wrestler to me. Maybe that’s what the film crew were really there for? An Asian rumble fest starring Chazband Tightening and Mustafa Roll. Just a guess, could be slightly wide of the mark there. You never know with these TV types though, I should know… Sacha Baron Cohen told me my interview was an open discussion on the recent radical feminism awakening in the former Persian and Mongol empire now know as the Republic of Kazakhstan. How wrong could I be, pussycat?
Anywhich. Glad you’re still visible and wish you continued success in your health plan and disappearing act. Have a word with Paul Daniels, he may be a poncey-voiced, z-list celebrity but he’s mustard at all this hand/eye deception and mystical vanishings malarkey. Gospel mate.

Hi Chaz, Don't let it get you down, to hell with everyone. You are doing this for you, bollocks to the rest... Blimey! Declining a free for all night? It must be working.... Take care BigBoy,
Stadtler.
