Its been a few days now and lots has happened. A couple of kilo has dropped from my person and all appears to be going in the right direction on that score.
I succumbed to my favourite "curry" on Saturday evening after a trip to the cinema sucking on two bits of popcorn during the film(things will never be the same again).
Tried ordering a starter at the Indian(onion bhajees) which I picked( that taste of yoghurt sauce was to die for) at it and followed with a chicken biriani. Never say never, but I couldnt eat hardly any of it.This time "eyes bigger than my belly" was a fact of life for me not just a challenge! Another first in my life...asking for a doggie bag from an Indian restaurant. (the shame of it) Needless to say it has all been carefully distributed into the now famous ramekin dishes to be spread across several days consumption.
Returned to work yesterday (Monday) to be greeted by over 300 emails and minimum cover supplied in my absence.
I now have a compiled list of just under a hundred actions to deal with after sifting through the debris. An 11 hour day on my "easing back into it" stage wasn't really what I had in mind. Seems that will be the norm for a few days until I have played catch up. Being paid by the hour does help but my health is my number one priority now.
Dad update.......
Dad is now safely in the same home as my mother..same room infact so they can be together for his last few months. My sister and myself helped pack up what he needed on Saturday and took him to settle in. Visited them again yesterday evening and they seem to be getting on fine. My father now has his food intake and medication properly monitored and he is getting used to someone in his condition having to rely on others care. He has always been very independant in life but has now been convinced that maybe after 87 years he may deserve a bit of TLC from others in his last few months. He is in a lot of pain and not keeping much down but definitely appears a lot happier with his situation.

I thought "ramekin" was something they did to relatives in the deep south? Mighty purty mouths down there boy.
I've been considering the pros and cons of feeling full after so little and top of the pros has to be you could the only person I know who could actually like nouvelle cuisine. However, I did manage a list of cons as long as me arm so I'll fast forward that bit.
Keep up the good work old bean. My own weight reduction efforts stumbled when the sun came out...the badminton vs beer debate was very short lived.
