Update:
Went in to the nursing home to see my fathers body this morning.
My sister and I waited to break the news to our mother and despite her initial silence after a couple of minutes she started wailing and then suffered a stroke. Hopefully will be ok..she is back speaking now at least.Her whole right side froze for a while but seems to be recovering now.
Have been advised that she will be better off in the home than hospital as they can care for her better in there.They are advising ,in her current state, she may be better off not attending the funeral...but I guess we will have to wait and see on that one.


I guess nothing can prepare anyone for bad news
It has been kind of a weird day all round

To be awoken at 4.40am to be told your fathers dead is a strange enough feeling.

Seeing my daughter so upset really upset me too

And then my mothers stroke kind of completed the day

Have been pretty numb all day especially since returning home on my own.
Have loads to start sorting out tomorrow with Angie (my sis) so I guess we will just have to get on with it.
