Romsey Show
Am finding exercise not so much a chore anymore. Attended the Romsey Show on Saturday 9th September followed by walking around Victoria Country Park at Netley on the Sunday.Weather was great for both days so took advantage of the fresh air and scenery.
RW at MK
Went off to Milton Keynes last Thursday 14th Sept for an argument with Northern Folk at a Robbie Williams concert.
Just because they put "pickernick" blankets on the ground at 9am in the morning they think they have the divine right to all that space for two people in a horiziontal position. My 6ft 8 frame was not very welcome infront of them and I was even accused of "using my size" at one point as to bully my way in(as if? like I said ,not my fault they were born small and were they not now using their size trying to gain advantage of standing infront of me?).
Being told to clear the gangway and move onto the grass areas as designated by the stewards hardly constitutes bullying.
I did comment on the amount of cold horses there must have been without blankets "Up North" on Thursday night ,it wasn't Proms In The Park and that everyone would stand up when the bands came on but to no avail, they were having none of it.
Funny when everyone stood up,so did they with my smug glances being totally ignored..lol
Orsen followed by Basement Jaxx and Mr Williams completed a very lovely day out!! Live music...you just cannot beat it!!!!
Model Patient
Attended the clinic on Friday 15th Sept and was deemed a model patient.(First time for everything I guess)
Had to literally beg for my band to be filled with the minimum amount of liquid so as to restrict my intake as the doctor thought it was going fine as it was. Having a needle hanging out of the valve they had inserted and drinking a cup of water to check on flow whilst injecting seemed a very vague way of gauging things but that is how modern medicine works in this case. .
Thought on Friday evening however that I had maybe bitten off more than I could chew (literally) as I could keep nothing down at all. A couple of phonecalls had to be cut short so as I could relieve myself of anything I had tried to eat.( Not good)
Saturday morning runny porridge stayed down ok so all is back on track on the eating front. I prefer the greater restriction and as long as it doesn’t affect my immediate health I will persevere with it. Back to the ramekin size portions only and no more.
If I want to drink I am back to 40 mins before or after a meal as I was told staright after the operation.. If I drink during or just after it just causes fullness sooner and vomiting…so I won’t be looking to cheat a little with that no more.
Arsenal beat Man Utd 1-0 at Old Trafford and Pompey are top of the Premiership..perfect end to the week!!!!
Dad Update
Dad was really struggling keeping anything down so last Friday he was admitted to hospital to have a tube inserted to help him digest things. The operation has been a great success but unfortunately his mild dementure meant he caused the nurses lots of headaches insisting he was going home and was not currently living in a Nursing home with my mother. Needless to say they called my sister and she came to the rescue delivering him back to the Nursing Home with my mother and settling him back in. He appears very upbeat and is now keeping his food down again. Possibly too upbeat for the “home “ who are wondering what he will get up to next.
